Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI is one of the most sensitive diagnostic modalities for diagnosing sources of injuries in horses that previously have gone undiagnosed via radiographs and ultrasound. As for human athletes, MRI has proven to be a very valuable tool for diagnosing orthopedic injuries in horses, and is able to see all internal structures of a horse’s leg during one MRI session.
By collaborating with MREquine, Pacific Crest Equine is now offering a high field (1.5T) magnet in a uniquely designed custom coach. Your horse’s MRI study will be interpreted and dictated by national experts in the field of equine MRI.
Faster and more accurate diagnosis = quicker return to comfort and soundness = quicker return to work. Now is a prime time to re-investigate your horse’s unresolved lameness issue or further characterize a recent injury. Please call Pacific Crest Equine at 592.4753 to discuss MRI or to make an appointment.
