Pacific Crest Equine offers internal medicine diagnostics, therapeutics, and intensive care management for both neonatal foals and adults. We offer 24-hour emergency and intensive care monitoring for our hospitalized patients. Our facilities include three climate-controlled and video-monitored ICU stalls. Our intern is available for overnight care of all critical care cases including neonatal intensive cases, colic management, and surgical aftercare.
For our intensive care patients we have the technology to provide EKG monitoring, blood gas analysis, and pulse oximetry. We also have the capabilities to administer fresh frozen plasma as well as whole blood transfusions for life threatening conditions.
In our new modern surgical suite, we offer a wide array of elective and emergency surgeries. Our suite is equipped with padded knock-down and recovery room, overhead lift, new inhalant anesthesia system with ventilator, and state-of- the-art monitoring devises. Orthopedic procedures, arthroscopic surgeries, and complex soft-tissue surgeries will be performed by visiting board-certified surgeon Dr. Tim Eastman.
Laboratory
Our on site laboratory provides a wide variety of tests, some of which are listed below. This enables Pacific Crest to save valuable time in critical cases, often receiving lab results within hours of receiving a sample.
