Dr. Helen Christian was born in rural Workingham, England. She participated in equine activities all through her youth and competed in the British Show Jumping Club Finals in 1998. She attended veterinary school at the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London and then participated in a fellowship at the Neonatal Internship Program at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA. In July of 2006, Dr. Christian joined Pacific Crest Equine in our internship program, and will remain at our hospital after the completion of this program as an associate practitioner. One of Dr. Christian’s interests is travel and in 2000 she participated in a Team Challenge expedition through Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. As a veterinary student she traveled again to Africa to practice in a large animal facility in Tamale, Northern Ghana.
